Our first choice was for cloth diapers: very breezy for the baby with the added bonus of being environmentally friendly. Determined as we were, we managed to hold on this diaper system for approximately 3 months. But we were quickly faced with a few problems such as the difficulty to source cloth diapers of the proper size, the occasional leaks, increasing water and electricity bills, and last but not least: the logistical nightmare of travelling with cloth diapers!

We were not ready to sacrifice our baby's skin and jump for any brand of disposable diapers available so we went on a search for disposable diapers which would be as chemical free as possible, and having minimum impact on the environment. This search into disposable was also a revelation as to how harmful conventional disposable diapers can be for our environment. The Moltex Oko was the answer as being not only excellent for our baby, but also fully environmentally friendly from manufacturing to disposal - see FAQ.

As the Moltex products were not available in Singapore, what started as a personal quest turned into Oko Loco: a company aiming at providing Singapore with the best environmentally friendly baby products the market has to offer.
